Mike’s Girl asked:
My kids are 5, 6, and 7 and they want to go fishing today. Do I have to have a license for all 3 of them? We live in Minnesota.

12 i think
the adult does not need a license unless you plan on fishing yourself.

Well, where I live, I think you need a fishing license at either 15 or 16, so I’m sure that’s pretty common. Trust me, your kids won’t need a license at their age.

All states are different. Simply call your fish and game department or pick up the regulations at your local sport shop. Most state are 12 and under need no license, but the adult taking them does.

no your children dont need fishing licenses becuase they are kids.Teenagers and adults 16-older need licenses. Also the kids need to be supervised by an adult with a valid fishing license. If you fish on your private property no one needs a license.Since your in Minnesota and i’m in Michigan the rules and regulation might be subject to change but the rule i just stated applied to many places.
